Local RSPB
Hi there! Welcome to the Local RSPB website. We're just moving in, so apologies for any mess, and mind the wet paint.
So what are we doing here? We're offering free webspace and mail forwarding to local RSPB groups.
So what does that mean?
- You can have somewhere to host your site
- You can have a (sub)domain name (e.g. [www.]townname.localrspb.org.uk)
- mail to townname@localrspb.org.uk and (whatever)@townname.localrspb.org.uk can be forwarded to your usual email address
Or a combination of the above, if, for example, you already have your own domain name.
Did we mention it was free?
Who are you?
Short answer: the people who do the Nottingham RSPB website (www.notts-rspb.org.uk).
Slightly longer answer: we host the Nottingham RSPB and
Maidstone RSPB
local groups, and decided it would be nice to offer the same facilities to others. We get quite a few people emailing to say that our link to their site is out of date, usually because someone's moved on and taken their webspace with them. Using one of our subdomains could be a more permanent solution.
